All Church Family Camp
Community UCC in Fresno would like to invite your church and several others to join us for our All Church Family Camp at Camp Tamarack near Shaver Lake. I’m pleased that we were able to reserve Labor Day Weekend as we did last year for this enriching experience in God’s enchanting forest. It turned out to be a grand experience with warm “vibes” throughout the weekend. More reasons to join us include: You’ll be settled into your routine after school starts, the weather will be cool, the 8-10 feet of snow will be melted, fellowship will be FUN, you will enjoy delicious food, AND you will have Monday to “recover,” if needed, before returning to ‘reality.’ Those of you who are able, are invited to remain in Camp Sunday afternoon and night and Labor Day Monday afternoon (without a camp fee) to help pack up Camp Tam for the winter. It is truly a fun and rewarding experience!
More details to follow, but in the meantime, SAVE THE DATES and

FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF TULARE
Corner of Tulare Ave. & “H” St.
First Congregational Church members have called a Settled Pastor!
This past weekend was packed with a sense of anticipation, curiosity, excitement, and finally, great joy, as we got to know Rev. Janice E. Hill.
Saturday’s meet and greet opportunities were well attended with many members asking pertinent questions regarding Rev. Hill’s background, life and work experience and theological direction.
The Sunday service and congregational meeting were filled with anticipation, excitement and joy as we worshipped, prayed and sang with Rev. Hill. She delivered her sermon with passion, humor, and a strong Biblical basis and was well received by those in attendance.
Following the worship service, members took the opportunity to vote for her as our Pastor with an overwhelming majority (98%!!!) saying “Yes!”
We look forward to her coming in January, 2019.
The Advent season is here and it’s time to enjoy an evening of beautiful music. Join us for our annual Advent Concert on December 2nd at 5:30 pm in the church.
